Adventurous Asheville engagement anyone? These two, and these landscapes blew my socks off. I drove pre-dawn up sketchy dirt roads and met Hans + Lily at the trailhead. We hiked up to this amazing lookout. I’d been here before when I backpacked through on the Appalachian Trail a few years ago. The sun never came out this time, but the cloud inversions were a spectacular sight! They don’t call these the blue mountains for nothing. The cool colors showed off for us. We soaked up the quiet, wildflower-filled morning. Then Hans + Lily had a “junk food” picnic full of their favorite candies. So unique! We explored and relaxed and then spent the evening exploring waterfalls.

Asheville (and North Carolina in general) is full of waterfalls. It would take a lifetime to explore them all. Luckily, we planned to hit up two for the evening portion of their day. We had the whole place nearly to ourselves and enjoyed bee-boppin’ around the falls and even getting in them! SO much fun. Are you wanting an adventurous Asheville engagement as well?
