TRYG + MALLORY: URBAN + WOODSY GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN WEDDING
This urban + woodsy Grand Rapids Michigan wedding is so special to Jim and I; it was our 50th wedding of all-time. Woot! Tryg and Mallory are the sweetest and most passionate people you will meet. They’re gorgeous inside and out, unashamedly serving Jesus Christ in all areas of their lives. Their wedding was a true reflection of that, the love they have for each other, and how good the Lord is! It was an emotional day with a lot of laughs and tears with their family/friends gathered around. They were married in a modern light-filled Grand Rapids church called Crossroads Bible Church. They had a gorgeous brunch-style reception there as well. Mmm, breakfast food. The bride designed and put together all the decor at the reception! So talented. Look at the hand-lettering on the place cards and all the gorgeous greenery.
Afterwards everyone parted for mid-day rest and reconvened for an after-party full of socializing, old-school arcade games, and craft brews at Grand Rapids Brewing Company. We loved the layout of their day and how unique it was to have two separate gatherings for their guests (the majority of guests were from out of town). We took portraits in urban settings near downtown then moved to a magical and moody pine tree forest while the guests dispersed. The extra portrait time with just the bride + groom was excellent. Allot as much time alone with your photographer as you can! You get more photos and alone time; a win-win if you ask me. It was a dreamy day all-around, and Jim and I feel so lucky to meet amazing people through photography like Mallory + Tryg.
