INTIMATE OREGON WEDDING AT CANNON BEACH
This intimate Oregon wedding at Cannon Beach is for all you couples out there who are stressed out by the idea of planning a big wedding, and don’t want to elope without a few family/friends either. An intimate wedding is the perfect compromise! Why? Instead of planning a huge day for hundreds of people, you’re crafting a more personal wedding day that you’ll share with a handful of family/friends. It takes a lot of stress/pressure off. Matt + Aubrey did just this, and promised forever to each other under the iconic Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach, Oregon. Family + friends came from all over the country to their favorite place on Earth: the magical Oregon coast. The rocky coastline, salty sea mist scents, lush mossy forests, and foggy mornings have us longing to come back every year It’s the perfect place to get married! They rented a couple Airbnb houses on the coast. After a first look and some portraits, we walked out to the beach and it started to rain pretty hard. We all were cold, but powered through for a quick ceremony. After that we walked back (sopping wet) and warmed up and had family style dinner inside. The next morning, we got up at sunrise and took a few more photos due to the poor weather. The coast was nearly empty and the fog made it extra special. We all had a blast running around the beach, enjoying the moody views + feeling of being so small.
Matt + Aubrey’s wedding experience was low-key and absolutely a reflection of their personalities/interests. It was exactly what THEY wanted for their wedding day. I encourage any couple reading this to think about what you want for your special day, whether that means throwing a huge 300-person celebration or eloping just the two of you. There is no “right” way to get married. Ready to start planning yours? Contact me here. I’d be honored to help you craft the perfect day + document all the goodness too.
