GLACIER HELICOPTER ELOPEMENT IN ALASKA
Looking for a once-in-a-lifetime outdoor elopement experience? Do a glacier helicopter elopement in Alaska! Jon + Carolyn originally planned on eloping in Juneau during a cruise stop, but the pandemic caused cancellation. We pivoted and hooked up with Alaska Helicopter Tours at Knik River Lodge for an epic tour onto a glacier + mountaintop. These two got ready in a yurt together as it drizzled rain outside. Soon we were inside and briefed for safety.
The helicopter ride was INCREDIBLE. Blue pools dotted the jagged black + white glacier. It was expansive and made us feel so tiny. We scoured the pools from above for the right one. Once we landed, we got our crampons on for grip on the ice and explored around. It was just us and the pilot. So quiet; no stress and no expectations. I even signed as the officiant! I’m ordained with ULC and can legally marry you in most U.S. states.
