We crafted a day with a variety of landscapes, inclusive of their small group of guests. They started their morning at these modern cabins outside of town which I found for them.
BLACK ROCKS MICHIGAN ELOPEMENT
Imagine exchanging vows atop an ancient magma flow. Black Rocks (near Marquette Michigan), provided an excellent ceremony location. The day was misty + overcast. We dodged any hard rain luckily and had the whole area to ourselves because of it. Passing sailboats, gentle breezes, dodging puddles, and we got started. One of the couple’s closest friends officiated the ceremony while a handful of friends looked on.
After hiking back to our cars, the group enjoyed a celebratory drink and signed their marriage license. After all this, the couple and I went on our own adventure to soak in all the just-married feels. They enjoyed a private beach, hidden beyond the woods. They set up a picnic, strolled the shores of Lake Superior, and explored magical nooks + crannies along the lake.
