Hi! Welcome! I’m a Michigan-based elopement photographer, specializing in designing + documenting outdoor elopements. I help you realize all the exciting possibilities for your elopement trip, then walk beside you through the whole planning journey.

I enjoy mid-century modern furniture, dark chocolate + peanut butter, and cabins in the woods. My favorite movie is Shawshank Redemption. I enjoy spending quality time with my family out in nature and in my cozy home. I’m excited to meet you and serve you!

I truly hope to get to know you on a personal level and serve you with my time + talents. A genuinely fun photo experience is also something I want for every couple. Feeling safe and comfortable to be yourselves, and let your emotions flow in the here-and-now is important.

I avoid heavily-posed images and will intermittently guide you. I won’t leave you hanging there not knowing what to do. Movement in images is key. None of that “hold still and smile” stuff. Well, maybe a few of those. Calling all fun-loving folks who like to be in nature.

I edit every image you will receive. No outsourcing for someone else to do. In addition, I do not use associate shooters. When you hire Emily Hary Photography, you get me on your day. Not someone else. I take ten elopements per year, in order to give you the attentive and high-grade service you deserve.
